Hour Twenty-Five 7 a.m.

Nancy Aston, Pat Thomas and Jane Zeigler are in the elder conference room to begin the final hour of our 25 Hours of Prayer. Jim Aston was not able to come this morning, he is at the hospital caring for his mother Betty Aston–who remains in our prayers.  Chris Tompkins has been here through the night as our shift commander.  He pulled a double shift!  I am very thankful for the help of Judy Crumbliss, Sarah Baugh, Jack Rivers, Clint Brumit and Chris Tompkins—they have helped to make my job much easier. Nearly 120  people stopped by the building to pray during the past 25-Hours.  Others prayed from home and other locations including the Baja!  Thanks to everyone who participated this year.  Go ahead and mark your calendar for next year—and continue to pray!IMG_0842

Lee and Jan Allen and Chandler Means join what has now been 24 hours of prayer at BHCC. The theme this hour is that the One Year Bible experience will continue to help us to be a church that spends time in God’s word – Daily. They will also be praying for the Women’s Thursday morning Bible Study and new members.

Hour Twenty-Three 5 a.m.

The Sunday Morning Women’s Bible Class joined for the 5 a.m. hour. The theme this hour is for our church to be a praying church. They will also be praying for the Monday Morning Quarterbacks & Life Groups.

Hour Twenty-Two 4 a.m.

Prayer Warriors Mike Grose and Susan Hale brings us closer to the twenty-fifth hour at 4 a.m. The themes this hour are prayer for race relationship in our city, state, country, world, and church. They will also be praying for the Women’s Sunday School Class and Stitch Works ministries.

Hour Twenty-One 3 a.m.

Clint & Emma Peyton, Chris & Cara Keith, & Sissy Simmons continue at the 3 o’clock hour. The theme this hour is prayer for our Veterans and Government Officials. Praying that God will give our leaders guidance and understanding and assistance in fearing God rather than man. They are also praying for our University students, singles, young professionals, the PULSE class, and our Bridge Ministry and Bridge Dinner.

Hour Twenty 2 a.m.

Mike Hammond joins Jon Lowrance for our twentieth hour this morning at 2 a.m. The theme this hour is family, individuals, parents, wives, husbands, children. & singles. They will also be praying for the Sonshiners and “Love Bears”.

Hour Nineteen 1 a.m. Bonus Hour

Burt Nowers, Larry Mullins, and Jon Lowrance come together for our bonus hour this morning. The theme for this our is prayer for our ministers and staff, that they will love the Lord with heart, mind, soul, and strength. They are also praying for worship planners and the SHINE ministry.

Hour Eighteen 1 a.m.

Trent Waltrous, Anthony Ritz, Cory Calendine, and Jackson, Drew, and Andy Parker kick off the 1am hour this morning. The theme for this hour is asking God to surround us with wise friends and avoid foolish friends. They are also praying for our Widow/Widowers & the Marriage Ministry.

Hour Seventeen 12 Midnight

David Ayes is going strong at the midnight hour. The theme for the hour is that our children would love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul and strength and their neighbors as themselves.  He is praying for the Nolen Hills Church and Inner City.

Hour Sixteen 11 p.m.

Praying this hour and Mark Brewer, Jim Camp, David Ayes and Pete Prosser. They are praying that God will open the eyes of believers and give them hearts of love and compassion for the lost.  They are also praying for the BHCC Staff and for the FriendSpeak program.

Hour Fifteen 10 p.m.

Praying this hour are Mark Binkley and Bunny Young.  They are praying that God will raise up strong ministers and healthy churches, and that WE be a light in this world.  They are also praying for Greeters, Ushers and Parking Team and our counseling ministry.

Hour Fourteen- 9 p.m.

Praying this hour are Molly Gammon, Chris Tompkins, Kelsey Colley, Savannah Richardson, Briana Jenczyk, Will Lowe, Amy England, Emily Rusinko, and Paul, Cooper and Cole Hammond.  They are praying for Our Men’s and Women’s Ministries, Camp Leatherwood and the Nolen Hills Congregation.

Hour Thirteen – 8 p.m.

Prayer warriors for this hour are Greg and Teresa Brown, Dede and Gregg Slagle, Kelly and Ritchie Pickens and Barbara Seamon. The theme is Bear One Another’s Burdens, and they are praying for the Student Ministry and Adult Education Ministries.

Prayer Warriors for this hour are Buzzy and Sharon Neil and David and Judy Kerr. The theme is A Prayer for Peace in this world. Also praying for are Children’s Ministry and Churchwide Events Team.

Hour Eleven – Saturday 6 p.m.

People praying at the Eleventh hour are Clint Brumit, Tucker McCreary, Michael Deeb,  and Rachel Olive. The theme is For our city and Middle Tennessee – that the message of Jesus will be started.  They will be praying for Faith Builders, Tied Together Sunday school classes and Care Teams/Membership Services

Hour Ten – Saturday 5 p.m.

Joe, Ruth, and Meredith Smith, Kevin and Libby Collins, Laura Flatt, Jonathan and Barbara Seamon,  Eddie and Becky Puckett, and Ruth Ann and Christy Blackwood are the prayers for the tenth hour.  They will pray for members, FriendSpeak, Sanctified Sunday School classes and Student Ministry.  The theme for this hour is Our Nation and its Leaders.

Hour Nine – Saturday 4 p.m.

Brant and Dana Lathem, Brian, Lisa, Annie, & Will Robertson, and Sarah Baugh are here at the church during this hour.  The Theme for this hour is Our Families. They will pray for members,  Son Seekers & Young Professionals, and for Room in the Inn.  (Starts tonight)

Hour Eight – Saturday 3 p.m.

Lamar, Amy and Luke Bowman and Frank and Suzanne Wheeler are here at the church building offering prayers of Thanksgiving to God for the many blessings He gives us daily.  They are also praying for our College Class and Kingdom Seekers class, as well as our Worship Ministry, specific members and individual prayer requests.

Hour Seven – Saturday 2 p.m.

“For where two or three come together, there am I with them.” Matt 18:20.  This is our theme for the 2 p.m. hour, to remind us of the power of prayer.  Neika Stephens, Ophelia Sliger, Suzanne Matherne, Geneva Tucker and Jan Garner  have gathered at the building this hour praying for our Family Ties and our Pulse classes, as well as our Women’s Ministry.

Hour Six – Saturday 1 p.m.

Our Prayer Warriors this hour, Randy and Margaret Perry, and Shaina Sullivan (with Nash), are praying that Brentwood Hills will be a “missional” church – reaching out into our community.    They are also praying for our Brentwood Hills Staff and for our Men’s Ministry, as well as many of our members and specific prayer requests.

Hour Five – Saturday 12 noon

At Brentwood Hills (Jim and Linda Arnett, and  Barry and June Estes,) and at Iglesia de Cristo en Nashville at Grandview, the noon hour is devoted to prayers for the staff, leaders and congregation at Grandview.  We are also praying for the Men’s Monday Morning Quarterbacks Bible study group.

This hour’s theme is seeking guidance and understanding for our leaders, helping them to fear God, not man.

Hour Four – Saturday 11 a.m.

In Hour Four, Alan & Leah Bradshaw, Johnny & Sharon Dorris, and members of the University Class (John Stoffer, Ashleigh Whitehorn, Jody Davis, Lindsay Bradshaw, Erin Self and Benny Richardson) are praying for a deep awareness of the presence and power of the spirit of Jesus in every aspect of our lives.  They are also praying for our Missions Ministry and for the Baby Boomers and the Heart of the Matter Sunday School classes.

Hour Three – Saturday 10 a.m.

Mark and Mary French, Max and Joy James, and Sandy Davis are on site for Hour Three, praying on the theme of The Body of Christ, our dependence on each other, and a growing desire to serve Jesus.  Also prayed for are the Believers and the Encouragers Sunday School classes, as well as the Safety, Security & Medical teams.

Hour Two – Saturday 9 a.m.

Our prayer team in the 2nd hour includes Barbara Meador, Jesse and Andrea Clayton, Pat Thomas, Bob Mason, Susan Pauley and Daisy Edwards.  They are praying for us to remember that God is eager to forgive us.  This hour we are praying for the Stewardship Ministry and for the Closer Walk Sunday School class, along with numerous individuals.  Remember that in the course of our 25 Hours the name of every member of the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ will be raised in prayer!

Hour One – Saturday 8 a.m.

Ready, Set, Go!  25 Hours of Prayer launched at 8:00 a.m. this morning, Saturday, November 4, 2017!IMAG0467 (1)  Prayer warriors this hour are Tommy Clevenger, Deanna and Randall Bostic, and Harriet Belle Tucker.  They will be praying for our faith that God, the Caring One, loves and cares for us and for our deep confidence and trust in God’s desire to nurture us.  Also in our prayers are the In The Beginning Sunday School class and the Brentwood Hills Benevolence Ministry, as well as many of the prayer requests submitted by individuals.
