Wednesday night, Feb 8th at 6:30pm – Is the final class in the Gathering class of the video series, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer.  Upcoming classes in the Gathering Class:

February 15thKatrina Long shares her story of how alcohol and drug addiction caused a fatal tragedy. After losing her family, career and freedom, God pulled her from the ashes and walked alongside her.

February 22nd – Nancy Posey will speak on Preserving Your Family’s Legacy of Faith. Nancy has always been passionate about capturing the images and stories of the past–her own and those of her heritage. She recognizes how daunting the task may seem when we consider the sheer volume. Instead of trying to write our whole life story and that of our ancestors, she will share ways, using photographs as inspiration, to capture those stories in small bites through flash memoir or narrative poetry. Her focus is on the stories of faith and worship, so that, as the Israelites were instructed in Deuteronomy, we can pass them down to those who come after us.

Thursday, Feb 23rd at 6:30pm –  Book Sisters Book Club – Our next book club book is Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker by Jennifer Chiaverini. We will meet in the Reception Room at the church building.  This book club is open to ALL LADIES. You don’t have to commit to all the meetings; just come when you want!

About the book:  In a life that spanned nearly a century and witnessed some of the most momentous events in American history, Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley was born a slave. A gifted seamstress, she earned her freedom by the skill of her needle, and won the friendship of First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln by her devotion. A sweeping historical novel, Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker illuminates the extraordinary relationship the two women shared, beginning in the hallowed halls of the White House during the trials of the Civil War and enduring almost, but not quite, to the end of Mrs. Lincoln’s days.

January 17th 10am – 11am – The Tuesday morning Ladies class will be studying The Providence of God.  Sue Craddock will be leading the study.  This is open to ALL ladies.

Thursday morning Ladies’ class will start back for the new year on January 26th, and we will be studying WhatMakesYouHappy, by Andy Stanley.  In this remarkable six-week study, he reveals what makes you happy.  He explores the three things all happy people have in common.  Then he goes on to describe how these three things can be realities for you as well.

Refreshments will be available at 9:30 a.m., and class will begin at 9:45.  If you are looking for a place to connect with other ladies, we’d love for you to join us!  CLICK HERE to register.  Free childcare is also provided! If you have any questions, please contact jangarner@aol.com.
