We would love to have you join us for worship!
Currently we have one worship service on Sundays at 10:30 AM. For everyone’s safety, we are following these procedures:
- Face masks are required for everyone age 13 and older. Children age 12 and under do not need to wear face masks.
- We take everyone’s temperature as you enter, using totally touchless technology. If your temperature is over 100.4, you and your family will be asked NOT to attend in-person worship.
- We observe social distancing with our seating in the auditorium. Seating is marked to ensure there is at least 6 feet between each family/household. An usher will help you find a seat.
- After worship concludes, we will dismiss by sections. Please do not linger the lobby or doorways. Please move outside to the lawn and parking areas and fellowship, while maintaining social distancing.
If you are immunocompromised, in a high risk group, are not comfortable worshipping in person, or not willing to comply with these guidelines, please worship with us online HERE.
A message from the Brentwood Hills Elders:
Your elders continue to meet weekly to pray and seek God’s wisdom as we assess the best options for our experience together as the body of Christ at Brentwood Hills.
As stewards entrusted with the spiritual well-being of our congregation, we recognize that we are the body of Christ, His aroma in this world. We are called to encourage one another, to proclaim Jesus Christ and Him crucified to the world, to lift Him up so that He may draw all men to himself, to love one another as He has loved us. And we are called to be together, and to not give up the important practice of meeting together. And we have not! Like everyone else, the elders long for the day when we can be joined together again as a body, in person without the need for masking or social distancing. The use of face coverings continues to be required for all attendees over the age of 12. The elders are listening to all who have commented on and may disagree with this requirement. But please know that this necessary and temporary safety measure is implemented from a spirit of love. As Paul said in Philippians 2:4, “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
In the meantime, the elders are deeply appreciative of the herculean efforts of our staff and volunteers who provide meaningful worship services, classes and activities each week to promote our continued spiritual growth. We have moved from online services in the early days of the virus outbreak to our current socially-distanced meetings with masks required, and we are excited for the new opportunities afforded by our emphasis on small groups. We also have numerous groups and classes who meet both in-person and online. Jesus Christ is still moving powerfully among His people at Brentwood Hills!
The decisions we make for our gatherings are informed by an outstanding team of our own medical professionals who understand the unique situation our congregation faces. Masks help to stop the spread of the virus, but they do NOT keep us from worshiping together! We will continue to look for and develop creative ideas that allow us to fully live out Christ’s mission for His church while respecting the medical and public health realities of a global pandemic. We have already had preliminary discussions about how we can relax some restrictions when the spread of the virus subsides. While the present measures may require personal sacrifice on our part, it is in our DNA to be devoted to one another in love and to honor one another above ourselves.
As in everything, we covet your prayers for wisdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we assess the situation weekly and seek God’s will on our journey to the Son!
