The Brentwood Hills Church of Christ Missions committee supports productive mission points and organizations.

Unifying Objective: Our 2015 Missions Policy states that our unifying objective is “Spreading the gospel by planting and building strong congregations that have the potential to be self-supporting, self- governing, and self-replicating.”

We believe many missions works are admirable and worthy of support. However, there is simply no way to honor every deserving request made of our congregation. There must be some agreed upon basis for honoring one request and not another. An unfocused approach at missions where there are no clearly defined objectives causes us to waste resources and may in the end fail to reach those for whom we are so concerned. Therefore, those requests that agree with the BHCC Missions Objective will be given priority over other requests.

We desire to pursue a relatively small number of Focus Works in which we have invested our hearts and minds, rather than support a large number of works of which we are relatively uninformed and which give us no real indication of the fruits of our efforts. Rather than spend resources on requests to simply write a check each month, we desire to adequately fund, lead, encourage and continually pray for Focus Works.
