It’s time for our annual ThanksForGiving food drive.  Each Thanksgiving we provide a Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of families in our community.  But we can only do it through your generosity.  ThanksForGiving is a great way to get your entire family involved in helping those less fortunate.  You can shop as a family for an entire Thanksgiving meal (or 2 or 3 meals if you choose).  Then you bring the bag of groceries to Brentwood Hills for distribution to a family in need.

Grocery bags (please use bags with handles and remember to DOUBLE BAG) and shopping lists will be available for pick on Sunday, November 9.

Here is the shopping list:

  • 2 cans green beans (28 oz. each)
  • 2 cans whole kernel corn (29 oz. each)
  • 2 boxes corn bread mix (8.5 oz. each)
  • 1 can fruit cocktail (29 oz.)
  • 1 box instant mashed potatoes (13 oz.)
  • 1 box macaroni and cheese (14.5 oz.)
  • 1 yellow cake mix (18 oz.)
  • 1 can chocolate icing (16 oz.)
  • 1 iced tea mix (26 oz. – makes 10+ quarts)
  • 2 boxes cherry jell-o (3 oz. each OR 1 6 oz. box)

Bring your bags filled groceries back to Brentwood Hills on Sunday, November 16.

We need volunteers to help with delivery of the ThankForGiving food sacks.  If you can help, please contact Barry Elkins (584-4042) or the church office (832-2541).

Thanks For Giving!
